ARMHS supports adults living with mental illness in developing everyday skills to live independently, manage their mental health, and stay connected to their community. Services focus on stability, recovery, and preventing hospitalization or more restrictive placements.
You may qualify for ARMHS if you:
Are 18 years or older
Have a primary mental health diagnosis determined as determined by a diagnostic assessment
Have completed a Level of Care Assessment
Have serious impairment in 3 or more functional areas
All services are delivered by qualified, enrolled professionals and include:
Basic living & social skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, transportation)
Certified Peer Specialist Services
Community intervention
Medication education & symptom management
Functional assessments & treatment planning
Support transitioning to community living
All services are goal-driven and face-to-face (except community intervention).
ARMHS can be delivered in various community-based settings, including:
Your home
A family member’s or friend’s home
Workplace settings
Community locations like:
Drop-in centers
Clubhouses
Classrooms
Other public spaces
The following are not covered under ARMHS:
Transportation
Housekeeping, laundry, or errands
Social/recreational activities
Case management or job-specific training
Room & board
Services delivered in:
Regional treatment centers
Nursing homes
Inpatient hospitals
IRTS (unless part of Transition to Community Living)
